Recommended Posts

Vinylguy

Sarge sent me this 1277 dash all blasted and primed.

got busy and designed a template last night and made a few prototypes today.

this is his dash with the decals installed.

Also attached a picture of the decal before install.

they consist of three layers of media.

2 layers of laminate and then laminted to the brushed chrome vinyl

and contour cut.

I will be shipping your dash back soon Sarge.

Thank You

I will be listing them on my website soon.

I will have a dozen ready next week.

Make sure you have a clean smooth well prepped dash before installing.

any little particles can sneek in under the decal and will show up.

Actually, the dash I sent you is off the 876 .... :hide:

Both the 1277 and 876 are Wheel a Matic auto's with Sundstrand hydro's .

My bad, :D should have sent the pic first , but if nothing else you have the finished product done for the manual trans units built at the same time/era .

Looks sharp, anyway . :hide:

Here's what it looked like when removed/blasted partially . Strange how they spaced out the "Wheel a Matic" lettering , and the font used .

I got a few pics from Perry since his 1277 is in original condition and still looks pretty good - at least his is legible !

Amazing how good his look , and how bad both of mine are rusted . Took a lot of primer and wet sanding to fill that plate in well enough to prevent show-through on the vinyl . Can't wait to see Terry's finished product !

I have them just have not gotten them listed for the wheel a matic yet

I am making the wheel a matic bottoms in black and white and the top brushed aluminum ones are all the same. Sarge forgot to tell me his were wheel a matics so I am removing them from his dash panel and reapplying the wheel a matic decals

Will list them soon and send a link

only thing is she will be listing old baby clothes along side. LOL
