I finally got around to building a tow Hitch for my 522xi

I thought I would share this for anyone looking to build a hitch for towing their trailers around the house. I searched on the forum for ideas for a hitch and saw some nicely built one but finally came up with a design of my own, fabricated it, mounted it and it works great. It's bolted to the axles as most others but decided to go an extra step and add support braces. I attached them to the original hitch retaining pin to relieve some stress on the axle tubes and for additional support and strength for moving my 7X14 around the house.

Nice job. I have two by one of our vendors, Tom "Rupprecht's Welding.". The advantage to his is that it is a 2"receiver. I have the option of using different drop drawbars and balls for my pulled equipment, my Cyclone Rake hitch, and my HF crane.

I like the container attached to the seat.  :handgestures-thumbupright: Good idea.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out and it definitely serves it's intended purpose. I probably spent 3 hours fabricating and installing it, but probably 2-3 hours deciding how I wanted to build it. Fortunately my homemade utility, 7' x 14' enclosed, and Sea-Doo trailers have about the same ball height.

I had to buy another 5XX to finally get one deck!  They are around but scarce and seldom cheap.  The downside to having a 5XX.
