TombRaider 5 #1 Posted August 10, 2015 Well this past Friday I traded my Allis B-212 for a Wheel Horse. I also have the 60" deck for it as well. Right now my problem is the engine surges but when i put choke on a little bit it smooths out. Carb is dirty right? Also I was wondering what year it might be as well.

Guy did fuel filter not too long ago but I'll replace it anyways cause its one of the real cheap ones. You can't see it in these pictures but paint is flaking on seat pan so I plan to remove that and repaint it and fill in some pitting and top of hood is rusty so plan to do the same to that. Also gonna get grip tape for the footrests and hopefully get a new seat. I need to get another gas cap, steering wheel cap, throttle lever knob, and indicator light cover. Now, posts and quoting are all screwed up. @nylyon Quotes are doubling, new posts give an error as if they didn't post, but going back shows they did post. My last post above, I deleted all the quoting and posted a single sentence, but it still posted the double quotes At 4:40, the forum went down for a minute or two. cleat 6,773 #13 Posted August 10, 2015 HC uses a different decal than the H. HC only has a light for low oil pressure.I believe the 516-H uses the same decal as the HC.Picture shows my 520-HC with the new decal installed that I managed to source from ebay.Cleat
Kurt-NEPA 755 #14 Posted August 10, 2015 Nice 89 HC. I think you will like it.On the idiot light cover. I had the same problem with my 88 520H. It was missing the overlay. I searched everywhere without success. I finally printed one on transparency film on my ink-jet printer. A little Photoshop work and I had a reasonable facsimile. Once printed, I put white PVC tape on the back and glued the overlay in place. That was two years ago and its still going strong. The only major issue was the surface was glossy instead of flat, but its functional.Kurt

Theroundhousernr 590 #16 Posted August 10, 2015 Some HC's have the same warning lights as the 520H like mine for instance. But I beleive yours only has the oil pressure light due to the fact that I dont see a test button on your dash. So yours will not be the same as a 520H. So yours will not be the same as a 520H. on the far right side there looks like a button should be there but its just a light that flashes when switch is on before you start it. I guess just so you dont forget to turn off switch and drain the battery.
Theroundhousernr 590 #18 Posted August 10, 2015 Thats where the switch would normally go on the 520H but yours is replaced with a light on the HC. The oil pressure light normal flashes when you start it and should go out after its running. If it doesnt go out , you would have an issue. Kyle

Kyle I should have said thats were the switch would be on the full warning light type dash because I have seen them used on both the 520H and 520HC. Yours just has the oil light.
