Sparky-(Admin) 21,314 #1 Posted November 16, 2008 Hey guys. Where the two tie rods on my "77" D-160 come together under the tractor, one is bolted UP thru the steering arm and the other bolted DOWN thru the same steering arm. Is this right? I'm in the process of getting the front end alligned correctly and thought it looked kinda strange. Seems if I take a hard left turn the right front tire seems to turn more than the left and leaves "scuffs" in the lawn. When the tires are straight forward it seems that they are alligned allright. Teddy da Bear 11 #2 Posted November 16, 2008 I wonder if the D series and Super C used the same tie rods? Mine are "hose clamped" in place. Assuming the joints wore out.... I wonder how replaceable are they?
bt81camaro 0 #3 Posted November 17, 2008 On my 79 D 200 the tie rods are that way. From the seat, the left side goes down thru and the right side goes up from underneath.
