Jparkes43 329 #152 Posted June 19, 2016 Hello all. Got some more pictures for you all to take a look at Got the side panels all fully prepped and ready for paint. Then i got some more primer and started to paint what i had prepped. The gear change lever One side of the side panels. the outside will be red and the inside part you don't see will be black. I then decided to prime the steering support as the bracket i had made up was going to work fine. Its other part and bracket also got a coat (need to do the other side, but i ran out of pins to hang from) I am liking how this is coming along. james

Steering shaft put in place coming along quite well, i need to tidy up my wiring but they will work for now. thanks, hopefully i will get some more sizeable updates soon and before you know it, we might be nearing a very exciting stage james Hello. Jparkes43 329 #162 Posted July 5, 2016 Hello all heres some more things for you. Dash board has now got some of its accessories on it, choke, throttle, rpm gauge. (dash sticker will go just under the dash piece near the gear lever) i think it all looks quite nice rpm showing the hour recorder when engine is not running. (a drill bit snapped and made that horrible mark on the dash, hope i can clean it up ) Signal wire going to the spark plug wiring is now sorted quite nicely so it is out of the way, other cable is throttle. Idle is too fast reduced idle Glad this pile is getting smaller meanwhile this was getting a nice coat of primer then paint, another coat was applied after this installed thanks its nice to see that this is coming along nicely. Jparkes43 329 #163 Posted July 10, 2016 Hello all. Well its been testing and adjusting recently, the carb is now perfect and idle is smooth at around 850 now. and that must mean that something good must have been happening! which is exactly right! as i had the running gear and everything like that sorted, i thought put the pedals and steering wheel on and go for a ride! I have to say this is mighty fun! it feels so nice to drive and glad to have it near a good stage. Some body work parts got treatment meanwhile. Then i couldn't resist more 'testing' but it wasn't very comfortable, so for temporary use, i put the rear section back on which was better i had to say. Loving this thing, cant wait to get it finished! just a few bits to sort out. James

Took mine to a weld shop for repair as I didn't have the tools to weld cast. hello. i took it to a local place and they said they didn't want to do the job, not many places nearby that i came across. so my plan was to make it with a plate that works ok for now and find a replacement part in the meantime (still got to get one). so it'll get fixed properly soon, i just wanted to get this done so i can get the rest of it done. i appreciate your concern James
