Need help with a part

So I decided to restore the C121 I aquired, I took every bolt out and I am in the process of rebuilding, I need some help with the small screws that go into the block for the points cover, I cant find anywhere a diagram showing what size they are and I have every document I could find on the web, I misplaced them.

Have often thought an Allen capscrew would work better because it would stay on the Allen key. The originals are a slotted fillister head.

They are called Filister head screws. They are either 10-32 x 3/8", or 10-24 x 3/8". I can't remember off the top of my head. Get a pack of each and whichever is incorrect will be what you need for the air cleaner plate.

Cleaning up the shop I found a new point's cover and the screws 8-32 X 3/8"
Kohler parts for the screws # X-167-2-S, took the screws out of the bag and tossed it in the trash just about 1/2 hr ago so I went out and found it for you.

Those darn things can sure get legs and take a walk -- and not come back!!

And speaking of that, the bottom one usually gives me a fit trying to get it started, so after I lost a couple of them I just went to my screw assortment and found I had some 8-32's in socket head and realized that with one sticking on the end of a hex wrench it would be much easier to start there

I use an electrican screw driver that locks on the screw to get it started.

Your restoration looks very nice.  Having done this several times (and others will agree), taking pix along the way helps with the reassembly process.  The parts diagrams are not accurate enough.  Also, I have found that as you disassemble sub assemblies, put all the hardware for each sub into zip lock bags and label the bags.  If you buy new hardware, it makes it so much easier to get everything right and even if you don't, it  makes putting the correct hardware back in the correct spot easier as well.
