5xi series replacement seat

Well, the 522xi that I recently made my own has but one glaring need. The seat is pretty shot. New OEM seats are still available for around $200. I have seen some decent looking possibilities on a supplier website for between $100 and $180. Are there any 5xi owners that have replaced seats, and if so, what did you go with?

When I'm able (laid up with a repaired broken ankle right now) I am planning on getting a Michigan V-5300 for my 523Dxi. It currently has the Hi-Back Toro seat with armrests and isn't cracked. I'll move it to one of the other 5xi as the diesel has become my main tractor since getting it last year. Although pricey, I have seen one installed on a JD X-530 and was impressed. The diesel is the "Cadillac" 5xi so why not go full out..

No, I never did because of a possible problem having it fit. The bolt pattern doesn't match, plus it might be higher with the suspension than the stock seat. That may impact me when using the snow cab as I am tall.

 

If I see one in person instead of just photos I may still give it a try.

I seriously wonder if that seat or the A&I seat would fit my D-180 - need something a bit higher and with the D's rough ride despite the existing seat spring frame it's beating me up pretty good...especially in the winter .

I used the Michigan V-818 on my 520H which is IMHO exactly the same size/shape as the last year's of the 520s and the 520xi & 523Dxi (which I own) and usually on sale at Northern Tool for $79,Jeff.
