jeremi3210 717 #1 Posted July 16, 2015 Hello I have a chance to pick up this ber-vac snowblower but I have a few question. Anybody else have this? Do they work good? how do they compare to a wh single stage? Any comments would be great just looking for opinions. Thanks.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,031 #2 Posted July 16, 2015 There was a weight bracket for the rear but don't know if it was an option or included with the packagehttp://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/1901-snowthrower-38in-1987-1988-w0238-ber-vac-2-stage-om-iplpdf/http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/1915-snowthrower-38in-1989-w0238-ber-vac-2-stage-om-iplpdf/http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/1920-snowthrower-46in-1989-w0246d-ber-vac-2-stage-om-iplpdf/Garry
bmsgaffer 2,043 #3 Posted July 16, 2015 From what I have heard, people like them. They work as well as the WH 2 stage, but there were not as many made and the company is long out of business so replacement parts are rare if not non-existent.Maybe someone who has had one can chime in with more info? cheesegrader 433 #4 Posted July 17, 2015 There was one for sale in Antigo.Might be useful just to have some spare parts.I think it was on craigslist Green Bay as part of a 520 package.I've heard they perfom like a WH two-stage, superior to any one stage. If you don't buy, I'm sure you could get some answers about performance.I'm a little concerned about the auger design. Just not as substantial as a WH. Hey,That picture looks familiar!Did you buy that 520 out of Green Bay?I would have jumped on it, but I couldn't use the Ber-Vac.I'm looking for my 4th 520 with a WH 2-stage for my brother.Looked like a nice machine, and a good price. fast88pu 3,324 #6 Posted July 17, 2015 I have used one before and they really throw the snow. I would say 50-70 feet. You will not be disapointed
two horser 11 #7 Posted December 2, 2015 Yeah I have the same blower I use on my 93 520 H it works great. Throws snow 35 to 40 feet no problem. I live in west Michigan and can get some heavy wet snow it handles it easy. I do have the manual for the ber-vac if you need a copy I'll send it.
