jake22si 5 #1 Posted November 15, 2008 Can you rebuild a Kohler fuel pump or should I just buy a new one :hide:
illinilefttackle 399 #2 Posted November 15, 2008 Jake-I don't think the rebuild kits are still available. I got mine from NAPA at a reasonable price. They can look it up by application in their Small Engine Cataloge. AL
sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted November 15, 2008 I dont think the kits have been available for a few years now. But since you have nothing to lose, you may as well pull it apart and see whats wrong - make sure there's no crap stuck in the check valves. I've successfully stopped a couple leaking by lapping the pump halves on some 600 grit wet and dry on a piece of glass. Be prepared for a shock when you price a new one....
