SMITTY 23 #1 Posted July 12, 2015 Anyone have an idea how to get to that valve. Have a leak in there somewhere can't see anyway to get at it.Smitty
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted July 13, 2015 What I would do is take the shift plate and dash plate off then the side plate, (flywheel side), and the belt guard off the other side. It also helps to take the seat off so you can lean and look down through the bottom of the tower. (If you have a back like mine). I always remove the battery before opening things up like this). The valve or the inlet/outlet of the cylinder may be leaking so it's best to open it up and look at both.
rmaynard 15,651 #3 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) If it's anything like my 416-H, there is quite a bit of disassembly required to remove it or even get a wrench in there to snug fittings. The front plate where the fuse block and relays mount prevent even visual access. Don't know what the engineers were thinking when they designed the 400 series.
