Would be appreciated You can try to pinch the rivet tighter in the throttle control. The pivot has to be tight enough to overcome the governor spring tension plus the pull the governor develops when it is working.I remove the rivet and replace it with about a 1-1/2" long bolt. Using a long bolt gives you about 1/4"-5/16" of bolt shaft that is not threaded and that is where the lever and bracket ride so they do not ride on bolt threads and wear. Shim as necessary with flat washers and add a Nyloc nut. Cut of the extra threads. Put it back together and you can reach in with 2 wrenches and adjust to the tension that is required to hold it with the engine running.Garry Edited June 27, 2015 by gwest_ca Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
