slantram 9 #1 Posted June 12, 2015 I have a C 81 with a transplanted 12 horse . I'm running a tiller on the back. Can I run a single stage blower at the same time or does the tiller have to come off to mount the blower?
doc724 925 #2 Posted June 12, 2015 The tiller will have to come off. Both implements use the same rock shaft to raise and lower, when you lower the blower to the ground, the tiller will also lower. Will make it mighty difficult to move forward with the tiller whacking the asphalt. Also, although they use different sheaves on the PTO bell, even if you could keep the tiller up somehow you do not want it spinning while the blower is on-an accident waiting to happen. I know that putting the tiller on/off is a PITA, but with practice, you can do it easily in under 30 minutes.
oldredrider 2,548 #3 Posted June 12, 2015 You can mount both at the same time. Chain up the tiller in the rear so it wont move up or down and remove mid mount idler and belt. Hook up the blower normally and you are good to go. Tiller on rear gives extra traction when blowing.
