Tom. 70 #1 Posted June 9, 2015 Hi all,I am a wheel horse man at heart but I couldn't pass up on this cool little machine, you don't see them very often over here. It's a January 1963 Original, complete with three-point hitch. After a wash and parked next to my C-120 It needs some parts and a good service but I have got it running and it runs sweet. Are there many other Cub owners on the forum?Tom

squonk 41,155 #3 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) I had an original a few years ago. Great running unit. Edited June 9, 2015 by squonk
Jake Kuhn 1,555 #4 Posted June 10, 2015 Very cool find tom, I would like to to find one of them someday. That hitch is pretty cool, don't think I've ever seen one of them.
Ken B 3,164 #5 Posted June 10, 2015 And it looks like its a pull start. That alone is fairly rare to see on an Original. I for sure would have hauled that one home! Nice little bonus that it looks to be in such nice ORIGNAL condition.
Terry M-(Moderator) 2,175 #6 Posted June 10, 2015 Yes, Very Nice!! Didn't know those even existed over in the UK...
Tom. 70 #7 Posted June 11, 2015 I love it! So do I I had an original a few years ago. Great running unit. Very nice Cub, I like the fenders! I wish mine had them..Tom Very cool find tom, I would like to to find one of them someday. That hitch is pretty cool, don't think I've ever seen one of them. Thanks Jake, the hitch is very unusual. I know of a Cub Cadet 70 in the UK that has an identical set-up. That is the only other one I've ever seen. And it looks like its a pull start. That alone is fairly rare to see on an Original. I for sure would have hauled that one home! Nice little bonus that it looks to be in such nice ORIGNAL condition. It certainly is a pullstart, complete with the original recoil which is in mint condition, I couldn't believe it! I'm unsure whether to leave it or restore it.. Yes, Very Nice!! Didn't know those even existed over in the UK... Neither did I! I have since found two other owners of them..

neil 2,409 #10 Posted June 13, 2015 Great find Tom , even better to have a it with road registration .
Tom. 70 #11 Posted June 14, 2015 Thanks guys, I'll get it mechanically right first and go from there! The road registration is certainly cool Neil, it was registered in my home county as well in 1963.Tom
953 nut 55,321 #12 Posted June 14, 2015 Very nice find. I see that it has an external coil ignition which requires a battery even though there is no generator to charge it, interesting.

Tom. 70 #17 Posted June 21, 2015 Very nice find. I see that it has an external coil ignition which requires a battery even though there is no generator to charge it, interesting. Hi,Well spotted, I actually put it on there to try the engine. The magneto is shot so I wanted to test the engine before spending loads of money on it! Turns out the engine runs real sweet just needs a new magneto. My Cub Original is one of my most favorite tractors I have. Very nice Cub, looks awesome! Looks great! Thank you!
