Aldon 4,827 #2 Posted June 10, 2015 For new PTO clutch use the forum manual section you can see your part number. Many are Toro 94-6650.If you want to replace just the friction material I think you may be able to use brake lining material. There is a link to material on Martins "416 adventures" thread via McMaster Carr.May want a second opinion on going that last route.
bowtieguy 334 #3 Posted June 10, 2015 I think I posted this info a few months ago, but will post it again.....(you need to decide which size of friction disc you need)...if you remember, some PTO's have riveted disc and some have bonded disc?Rather than pay the 70 bucks that Toro wanted, I started searching for disc material....I found a company in Tupelo, MS that sold friction discs for slip clutches found on agricultural equipment (brush hogs and related PTO driven equipment)Company: Bearing & Supply of TupeloPO Box 3243 (837 Senter Street)Tupelo MS 38803-3243(662) 840-8099or email addy: tmccully@bstupelo.comI ordered # TOL-FP6530...$12.72 each.....I ordered (3)...shipping was 5.00....tax was 3.13....Total $46.29I ordered the brass rivets from Toro......drilled holes in the PTO bell and friction disc (countersink em')....I liked the outcome!I would suggest you call them first (ask for Terry McCully , the manager....a good ole boy imo) because they make several different sizes; Now you have heard my 2 cents worth and I'll go back in hiding! (in my Horse Barn out on the back 40) or at Royals ballpark!!
