Fordiesel69 263 #1 Posted June 8, 2015 I can buy car parts cheaper than what toro charges for a tie rod. Any option out there for either a complete tie rod or end that is more affordable?

Racinbob 11,288 #8 Posted June 8, 2015 For a Suburban drag link I used 3/8"-24 threaded rod with a piece of 1/2" OD steel tube the correct length over it. There's no need for adjustment in this application. For an adjustable tie rod you'd want to use a jam nut.
Racinbob 11,288 #9 Posted June 8, 2015 I've used these quite a few times. Less than $10 a pair. Where did you buy these? I got those at Ace Hardware. There's a gazillion of them on Ebay cheaper but I was in a hurry. Tractor Supply also has them as well as many other places.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,131 #11 Posted June 8, 2015 If you have a needle for your grease gun you can slip it under the rubber for a shot of lube also. Sure eliminates the rust and wear.Garry
