C-160 What is the factory rear tire size?

Recommended Posts

The rear tires do not look factory, and are dry rotted so bad you cannot read them at all.  Any idea what might come on it as factory?

As far as I know, the standard rears were 23 x 8.50 x 12.

If you look at the google images of C-160's the ground clearance seems higher, could they be 9.50?

9.50's were an option.

I don't think that 23 x 9.50 x 12 would increase the ground clearance though. If you went from 22's to 23's, that would give you 1/2" more.

23 x 8.5 x 12's, factory issue.

Goin' to 9.5 references the width, not the height. As noted, 24" diameter, adds 1/2" to your ground clearance.
Also diminishes your tire to fender clearance, careful!

I found that my local tire shop can get me better prices than any online source. Try shopping local. One advantage is that my dealer will mount the tires FREE if I buy from him.
