MikesRJ 552 #76 Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) Well, Thank You! Certainly a labor of love ... or the feeding of an addiction. Haven't decided which yet, though. LOL Edited August 25, 2015 by MikesRJ
jackhammer 546 #77 Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) I've got a question concerning the deck Mike,Were the 75's zerkless or did you drill thru the cover plates and replace the spindles with zerks on that deck ??Your entire job sure looks awesome .Thanks for sharing your progress as you wentRick Edited August 25, 2015 by jackhammer
MikesRJ 552 #78 Posted August 25, 2015 The 1973-1975 decks were side discharge standard. The deck you see in the images is actually a 78350 model which came out in the early '90's. I traded the original SD deck for an RD deck, due to the narrow areas I have to cut around. The SD deck didn't fit through those area. Not sure about the earlier decks and whether or not they had zerk fittings on the tops.
martinarcher 59 #79 Posted August 25, 2015 My 76's original 36" RD deck did not come with zerks but you could buy a rebuild kit with greasable bearings which my dad added in the 90's.

MikesRJ 552 #81 Posted August 26, 2015 (edited) @jackhammerThe deck is a 1993 version. Rather new-ish! Edited August 26, 2015 by MikesRJ
