Brian1045 28 #1 Posted November 8, 2008 Has anyone tried mounting their seat to the back hole on the U-post support? I was just wondering if the hole may be to far back on the post to keep from ripping or tearing up the seat support. I'm pretty sure the seats were designed to mount to the front hole only. But I'm 6'2" and I need the extra room. :hide:
kj4kicks 151 #2 Posted November 8, 2008 Should be no problem Brian. I've picked up several tractors along the way that had the seats "all the way back".

HarleyMan46929 0 #11 Posted November 16, 2008 I took the original seat off my D-180, used the welder to cut off the part that sits on the spring (up to the rubber pads on the cross-bar, then I fit a seat and mounting assembly from an older C-195, and now I have plenty of room. I'm almost 6' tall, and the new set-up raises me up to a very comfortable position...also lets me see over the hood of the D-180 so I can miss obstacles I couldn't see with the original seat set-up. That's just me....but I really would do that swap all over again. I really like the outcome!!!!
rondo 0 #12 Posted November 16, 2008 I bought my B-100 from a guy who's about 6'2" or 6'3" (Perry would know how tall he actually is), and he not only had the seat all the way back but had made some mods to go back a tad further. Seeing as how I stretch out to about 5'6", my neighbors got a chuckle when I drove it for the first time - couldn't reach the brake, eh. :hide:
