alswagg 128 #1 Posted May 6, 2015 How common and reliable is an 855? I simply want one to pull the lawn sweep around the yard, or the lawn cart. Maybe pull the log splitter to the wood pile and back. I like the simplisity of the little tractor. I have several D series which is much larger I know, These we use as our working tractors, Thanks Al
jeremi3210 708 #2 Posted May 6, 2015 I don't think they are uncommon, but I can say they are very nice and will be more than capable of doing what you want it for.

stevasaurus 22,528 #4 Posted May 6, 2015 The 8 hsp is a great engine and easy to work on. The guts they have will surprise you, and they start very easy. I just tap the key on my 857 and it's running. Not sure how rare the 855 is, but the 8 hsp engine is all over the place.

slovinski 42 #6 Posted May 7, 2015 The short frame 8's are great little tractors, plenty of power, easy to work on, and are real gas sippers
