Trying to remove this as part of rebuilding the tranny.  Anyone know how to get this out?

I assume you are talking about that little 5/8" in the end of the shaft.  Take a good, small flat blade screwdriver, find the thinnest part of the bearing wall and try to tap it in between the bearing sleeve and the shaft.  It will bend in and you can pull it out easily with a needle nose.  :)

Tried to use hammer and screwdriver.   Edge of bearing cracked off, bearing never bent. :eusa-think:   Should I just grind it out with a dremmel?

That works, but it takes a while.  Use the dremmel to give your self an edge and then the screwdriver method.  The bearing shield is hardened steel and will rip and tear with the screwdriver.  :)

You need a really sharp screwdriver edge...almost like a razor knife, but if you can get in between the bearing and the shaft...it works good.  :)

Got it.  Used the dremmel.  Ground in 2 places and it fell out.  Got a little grind on in the shaft but should be ok.  Thanks for the help Steve!
