cheapheap 1 #1 Posted April 26, 2015 i am working on a 96 wheel horse 14-38hxl it sat outside for about 3 or 4 yrs everything works except the headlights and the little switch behind the blade disengage and the transmission it is a 323-o500 and the lever on the side to go forword and reverse is frozen solid i have taken the tranny apart and changed the seals and the hydrolic part works i think but i had to remove the square keys in the axle to move it i am flying blind herewhen you move the bypass lever does that mean one or both whells are suppose to freewheel they don't. the person own got the tractor for free has spent about 500 bucks on parts so far,rebuilding the deck and getting it running. a lot of the electrical was disconnected or bypassed its been fun so far any help on this tranny would be most appriciated.
