squonk 41,016 #26 Posted April 27, 2015 Thanks Wheel-N-It, my pleasure. Was glad to give up my M1, no more thumb crushes! The well known M1 Thumb! Picked up an off brand tractor just 'cause it was goin' to scrap. More play time for the grandsons, '66 Allis Chalmers B-10. Came with snow/dozer blade, mid-mount grader, rear PTO tiller, mower deck. Engine runs, 10 hp Briggs. Allis-Chalmers.jpg The mid grader for that thing is $250-$300 all day long!
Tankman 3,518 #27 Posted April 27, 2015 The mid grader for that thing is $250-$300 all day long! The mid-mount grader blade is very thick, 1/2". With my gravel drives the poor thingy is going to get a lot of grandsons seat time. Ride 'em cowboys!
chip61 658 #28 Posted April 28, 2015 I know this off the original topic, but that Allis was a good find. I have a 1967 B112 with 48" deck and grader blade that my neighbor bought new. That cast iron Briggs is pretty tough. It's still a good worker.
Wheel-N-It 2,968 #29 Posted April 29, 2015 Cause my wife and daughter would let up on me having the 8 hp B&S powered AMF 4 speed with 36" deck from the mid 60(?)s setting out on blocks in the back yard (granted it has been setting since I bought my 310-8 back in 1991) -- So they were thrilled when they paid to have someone haul it off with other scrap material Too bad you could have not sent it over to Tankman's house! I think he has a soft spot in his heart for all things "Tractor", be it Wheel Horse or not, on wheels or tracks.
