GOT ME A LAWN RANGER

Recommended Posts

19richie66

I have been helping a friend of mine clean up some property and did some work on the work tractor a couple of weeks ago. While cleaning up, I peeked under a tarp in the back yard and this is what was under there. I brought it home today. Not sure what year it is so if anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it. So far seems to have an older rattle can paint job. Tires are original but rotten. Actually the seat and tires are the worst part of the whole tractor. Plans are to get it running and clean it up. I'll see what I have to work with after a good power washing. And the required pictures.

Nice find Richie. If I didn't know better I say you lived up north. Contrary to what I mentioned earlier that seat may be the original or original type.

According to the paperwork I have...the engine spec number #75063B makes it a 1964 34R.  Nice find Rich.  :)

Shynon and I will settle this on the golf course.  :bow-blue::orcs-cheers:

:twocents-twocents:   34 E (electric start); R would be recoil.

I get that it has a battery...but it also has a recoil.  I also know that the list is not perfect, but if you look at the list, the spec # for the 34E is #75064B...the 34R spec # is 75063B...his plate says 63B.  Where is TT for this one???  :)

I did all of the flooring in our new house, 1800 sq ft of hardwood took me about two weeks, tile for two baths and kitchen (500 sq ft) took a month, I feel your pain.

Great little tractor find!! Tile is easy...It doesn't weigh anything... :) (Do hope you are using a wet saw tho...)

I feel your pain too Richie. Doing any vertical surfaces? The shower walls drove me nuts. :)

Before it is over I will have tiled the whole house and completely overhaul the master bath with a walk in shower and a 1923 clawfoot tub I got from one of my dad's friends years ago. It will be close to 1800 sq ft. I have a wet saw I bought at an auction just for this whole project. Its a big commercial saw from an estate sale. Bigger than what I need but couldnt beat it for the price and it was just shy of brand new.

As for the tractor, i looked on the toro spec sheet it shows a Lausen motor for it so I really dont know what to think. I do know it will stay the way it is. She will get a royal servicing, clean up and wear as much originality as I can keep on it. Thanks for all the help guys.

Lane Ranger

Richie:  That Lawn Ranger is a great find !    Save it as there are not too many nice 1964's out there !     Lawn Ranger was suppose to be Cecil Pond's favorite model Wheel Horse according to Mike Martino's book !

Can't figure out why the "R" plate was installed on a fan cover that has the electric starter bump out on it; lets just call it a 34-R/E.  :text-lol:
