We hadn't been going to any more shows with it and after five years of the truck sitting in the same spot in the garage I convinced my wife it was time to sell it. Took some pictured and posted it on at a reasonable price. Much to my surprise it sold with BUY-IT-NOW within two hours to a collector in California. Today his transporter came to pick it up for transfer to westbound car hauler. Safe travels old friend. Took one last drive before the hauler came. Enjoyed the ride but am glad it is going to someone who will show it some love. looks very cool 1 1

rjg854 11,378 #182 Posted October 12, 2021 Last week I took a '68 Commando 8 apart, thinking about repainting it. I power washed everything and it cleaned up rather nice. So instead of painting it I put it back together, changing the fluids and lubricating all wear spots. Mostly rewired it, and changed the fuel lines and filter. Installed a dozer plow, added a set of weights and promptly sold the very 1st tractor l ever bought. The one that started it all almost 8 years ago.
Pullstart 62,905 #183 Posted December 4, 2021 There’s a tractor. It’s in my mirror. But we’re heading away from my stables today. 5 year old Henry’s first Wheel Horse.

I had sold my 2nd tractor shortly before and had seller remorse so bad I couldn't let the first one go. I found out then how people end up with tractor amounts in the high double digits. rjg854 11,378 #185 Posted December 4, 2021 Funny thing The guy I sold it to, within a couple of weeks, had already put it up for sale. For a couple more hundred than I sold it to him for. When I asked about it, he said it was too nice for him. That was why he was selling it. It's still for sale, I think he's just trying to cash in, but no one is biting.

AMC RULES 37,130 #188 Posted December 21, 2021 Been drooling over this thing since the first time I ever laid eyes on it. Plus, to have all of the original paperwork, bill of sale, and factory sales brochure from 1953 is priceless to me. What a friggin score, this is the stuff that rarely survives. Now, ol' buddy, we just gotta find that original post from back when you first found it to complete it's RedSquare provinance. 🤞 Thanks so much Steve! I still can't believe I now own this super rare piece of our Wheel-Horse history. 1953! 4 2 1
