motor12 367 #1 Posted April 5, 2015 Here's a couple of pictures of my RJ58, when I started the restoration and where I am as of a couple of days ago. A lot of things changed over the last 57 years. The trans was locked up and had to be rebuilt, the gas tank was the wrong one, steering wheel was in bad shape. The hood had 13 extra holes, the Kohler was shot, ect.ect . You get the idea. Thanks to the members of this forum for the help, it makes working with this old iron a lot easier. I hope to finish her in a couple weeks.
fireman 1,022 #2 Posted April 5, 2015 Wow that looks awesome! Nothing like a complete nut and bolt restoration! Only time I wouldn't do a full restoration is if it was a super duper clean original. Real nice work. That's something you can always be proud of!

neil 2,410 #7 Posted April 5, 2015 Looking good, I wonder what the little lifting ring type hood ornament was for ?
motor12 367 #9 Posted April 5, 2015 Mels, that's hilarious. If I get asked what the ring is for it's now officially a gun mount.
