Has anyone ever used a round fender John Deere 110 here? I have a friend with a '65 and the 38"sd deck. How do these mow? I cant find much talk of them online.

To find out how a RF 110 mows, try the John Deere sites.  Here are a few:

WFM:  http://www.wfmachines.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/18-Round-Fendered-Tractors

GTT: http://www.greentractortalk.com/forums/round-fender-tractors/

I currently owned 5 John Deere round fenders, from a '64 110 to a '67 112.  But I never mow with them as I have newer equipment for that.  From the things I read though, they do mow pretty well considering the technology is over 50 years old now.  For the day they were manufactured in, they were great mowing machines as were several of that era's competitors, including Wheel Horse and Cub Cadet.

Thanks T-Mo ....Kind of cool watching those old Tractors mow :handgestures-thumbupright:   also, I sure wish the sixties Lawn Ranger and shortframes came with side discharge mowers.... :)

I restored this one almost 15 yrs. ago... I'm not a big John Deere guy in any way shape or form but the round fender 110's are just plain cool. The variable drive is a nice feature as well. I did mow with mine and it did a real nice job.. Go to the Weekend Freedom Machines website, its where all the green guys hang out, there should be plenty of info about them there..
