cleat 6,695 #1 Posted March 10, 2015 One of my 520's was a later model and I don't like it as well so I am converting it to be like my older style 520-H and 520-HC. Machine was torn down and frame, rear end etc was painted. Upper steering bushing was upgraded to a roller bearing (I did this to my HC as well). Older style simpler wiring harness installed. Hydraulic control is now on the side. Gauges are the (I feel) better metal SW units. Steering wheel has the embossed wheel horse name. Foot motion control will be installed soon. That gets rid of all steering column levers. All bushings have been replaced on control levers, motion control, steering. New axle pivot pin will be installed. cleat 6,695 #4 Posted March 10, 2015 Shop is 27' x 30' and has plenty of lighting and power. Heated with an oil furnace. I built this around 20 years ago and use it daily. I will keep you updated on this project and the HC project. HC is basically done but needs the hood and fender pan painted (my neighbor will do this for me), and the decals installed (my other neighbor does that). This machine had the hood and fender painted last year. The tractor I am converting is the one with the mid mount grader blade in the picture. Cleat
squonk 41,638 #5 Posted March 10, 2015 I like it Cleat! Pretty cool how the reflectors on the fender pan sitting on the floor light up with the camera!

cleat 6,695 #8 Posted March 12, 2015 Front end installed and gearlash setup. Engine installed. Hood bolted back on. Battery hooked up. All wheels on. Rear fender is just sitting. Need to install Matt's foot control then machine will be done. Last pic shows this machine to the left, the 1988 520-H with gear reduction swept front end completely restored in front, and the almost complete HC to the rear. My HD snow removal tractor is in the other bay. Cleat
