Stormin 9,981 #203 Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) Just had a look through this build. Sounds like some really interesting work. Shame about the photo's. Lost a lot myself. I've a 14hp vertical shaft Kohler sitting about. I'd have liked to see your 90decree box set up. I also have a Saxon trailer like that. Great little trailer. Thank you very much , I'm really pleased with it now, there were a few kinks to iron out but we got there! I would now quite like to do an electric or hydraulic hitch lift

I'll do a more talky video where i show the various key points of the built shortly, i'll be sure to show the 90 degree gear box
callum12 256 #206 Posted April 19, 2021 Hi all!! I thought it would be nice to post a little update on the project, she gets put to good use regularly, moving stuff about, got some ploughing lined up too as you can see certain aspects haven't seen any attention for a while! the front hitch/bumper is still incomplete (really need to finish that!) the biggest addition is the winch, this provides power lift for the hitch and offers winching capacity. since taking the photo i cut off the hook as it wasn't allowing for the fully up position. I'll sort a nice control box, i would quite like a mechanical feeling lever beside the seat, we shall see what emerges. I was debating with a linear actuator. I struggled to fine one that looked heavy duty enough, i felt a winch was simpler and with the lift force i now have i can put weight on attachments of required. all the best, Callum
