gary m 4 #1 Posted February 23, 2015 I have a 310 wheel horse and I'm trying find out how to replace or fix the lift lever, it won't turn due to rust, also when you grab it you can lift up the lever a little bit but it doesn't turn . How is this lever hooked up to the tractor? Anyone have a diagram showing how this unit works? Thanks Gary
Sparky-(Admin) 21,544 #2 Posted February 23, 2015 Before I started ripping it apart I would crawl under it and start lubing up every thing that moves, rotates, twists etc...with penetrating oil. May take a few applications, once things start moving start applying grease. Mike..........

doc724 925 #4 Posted February 23, 2015 Gary M, The lift lever does not turn, it only moves up and down. It will not move up and down if the button on the top of the lift lever cannot be depressed. The dial-a-height adjustment knob (if there is one on your model) does turn. I agree with Sparky about lubing everything first before you start ripping it apart. They whole lift system is really quite simple in design. I have found that the attachment lift bar (under the tractor) which pivots just before the transaxle can get bound up with rust. If the penetrating oil does not work, there are two snap rings which hold this in place. Pull them off, slide the lift bar to one side and take it out. There are bronze bushings in there. Clean the ID of the bushings and sand the lift bar, reassemble with anti seize compound and new snap rings
