Forest Road 594 #1 Posted January 30, 2015 I've often considered mounting my WH 2 stage blower on my loader. It would require a separate engine just to drive it. I assume it'd be easier to mount every year. And should be much more versatile, especially in those 6-8' tall snow banks. Has anyone else contemplated such a task? squonk 42,522 #2 Posted January 30, 2015 Bobcat has a unit like that. Talk about an awesome piece of snow removal machinery!
baerpath 517 #4 Posted January 30, 2015 Not sure where I found it but, might have been on My tractor forum. They used a Case snow blower mounted on a Cub Cadet loader on a 147. Bucket curl valve ran the auger
shallowwatersailor 3,214 #5 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Not sure where I found it but, might have been on My tractor forum. They used a Case snow blower mounted on a Cub Cadet loader on a 147. Bucket curl valve ran the auger Kevin, that would be the ticket just like Duane suggested. Case/Ingersoll attachments like their Snocaster are hydraulically driven. Would the sub-frame for the Kwik-Way take the additional stress? Edited January 30, 2015 by shallowwatersailor
squonk 42,522 #6 Posted January 30, 2015 I'll take one of these!
can whlvr 993 #7 Posted January 31, 2015 ive used one on a gehl skid steer,it was useless in wet snow,im not saying a wheelhorse unit wouldn't work, but the skid steer model wasn't as impressive as I would have thought,in cold snow it was great, but when it plugged you had to get out and manually clear it
decksetter 50 #8 Posted February 5, 2015 interesting idea, blower on a loader could be interesting. Drive the auger with a hydraulic motor and that could be a winner. Probably wouldn't be that difficult to do with a single stage.
