zanepetty 117 #1 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Is the tab on the front of the belt guard supposed to be welded on the sides and the front? After paint mine was running the belt way too much so I had to bend it down. I cracked the paint but I can't tell if I cracked a weld or what's going on. Please help. Thanks so much. buckrancher 2,694 #2 Posted January 6, 2015 should just be spot welded in a couple of places
zanepetty 117 #3 Posted January 6, 2015 Ok. The spot I'm talking about is where the tab extends out from te guard itself. Right on top. So you don't think I broke anything but paint more than likely?
buckrancher 2,694 #4 Posted January 7, 2015 if this is the tab your talking about they are spot welded on in a few places from the factory if yours is welded all around it was done by a p.o. Brian
zanepetty 117 #5 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) That is not the tab. I'm talking about the bottom one that hits the bet. It's not spot welded in the forward most part (the side where the clamp is in the pic) it must be spot welded somewhere else...?? zanepetty 117 #7 Posted January 7, 2015 Oh ok so it may not be welded right in front?
64s 83 #8 Posted January 7, 2015 I just checked my 604 belt guard and the "belt tab" (on the bottom of the guard, in the very front) has two spot welds in the center of the tab, no tack welds, so I assume you just cracked the paint, there is no weld in the very front.
