trainman 0 #1 Posted December 24, 2014 I recently bought a 1276 wheel horse roller pretty much stripped of all major parts it does have the 5054 hydro transmission and the pump still on it hoses are still on the pump. I have idea how long this sat outside or in dis use, the axel seal is leaking bad on the left side. Still has fluid in it. Someone off a facebook group I am in wants to buy the pump, but I don't know if the pump is still good. Does anyone have a exploded view of the pump and transmission? I been told parts for this transmission are no longer made other than the pump to trans gasket and the oil seals. I would like to sell that as well. but I don't want to shaft anyone, (no pun intended)
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,104 #2 Posted December 24, 2014 There is a break down in the operator manual but none for the hydro assembly. At the time they were repaired on an exchange basis so was not necessary to itemize it. There may have been one later. Garry

trainman 0 #4 Posted December 25, 2014 Ok great guys! But how do I check the oil level in the hydro pump? I did not see where to check the oil level and what kind of oil you use.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,104 #5 Posted December 25, 2014 I would have to look it up to know but you can do that The gearbox below the pump is the reservoir so there should be a dipstick in it. If the oil is red is is automatic transmission fluid. If the oil looks like motor oil that's what it is. Some changed from one oil to the other if it all could be changed which required disassembly and flush of all the components. You can not mix the two types. There is likely more in the tractor's operator manual I'm not a hydro guy but many here are so ask all the questions you want. Garry
