STIHL5AEPK7 17 #1 Posted December 12, 2014 Is a brinly disc harrow worth restoring with intentions to sell after all painted up? Do people buy these all fixed up?

KyBlue 655 #3 Posted December 12, 2014 Guess it'll depend on what it'll take to restore it... The more you spend the more you'll have to charge... Just keep it in mind
bmsgaffer 2,043 #4 Posted December 12, 2014 Personally, I would rather buy something un-restored unless I know the person that restored it. Not saying you would be a bad restorer, just that I as the buyer would not know. Not everyone fees this way though!
Molon_Labe 731 #5 Posted December 12, 2014 The disc pictured would be a nice one to restore, the newer models not so much. I agree with bmsgaffer, sell it as is.
Lane Ranger 10,947 #6 Posted December 12, 2014 Those discs (and small garden plows) are always very popular items for sale at swap meets !

Molon_Labe 731 #8 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) Stihl5AEPK7 just to add to your post, I recently did a refurb on a disc and have a considerable amount invested in it because I had no intention of letting it go. No doubt more invested in it than I could sell it for. That makes a good case to sell yours as is and let the buyer do as they will with it. Allow them do with it as they see fit if you don't plan on keeping it. Edited December 13, 2014 by M_Bailey
AMC RULES 37,130 #9 Posted December 13, 2014 I'd like to have it just the way it is.
BradyS 6 #10 Posted December 15, 2014 Yes they're collectible but don't work that good. Not really heavy enough to do much good. Cub Cadet 1200 Cub Cadet 109 Cub Cadet 149 Cub Cadet "O" Cub Cadet SO76 Plenty of attatchments to put them to work. Currently looking for an RJ35, if you know where I can find one let me know.
