saguaro 0 #1 Posted October 20, 2008 Been going through the manual I bought for this engine and nowhere does it show how to get it within tolerance. So I could sure use some advice.
saguaro 0 #2 Posted October 20, 2008 The book says .005 to .027 for this engine. Right now I'm guessing it's over 1/16th. :banghead:
saguaro 0 #3 Posted October 21, 2008 Would a shim between the ball bearing and the engine cover fix it?
saguaro 0 #4 Posted October 21, 2008 Went and talked to some Toro mec's today. They said don't worry about it. Said I could shim it but that may just add metal to the oil and could end up putting something in a bind. I'll call it a lesson learned for the next engine. Something else I learned. Buy no disassembled engine unless you know it well or are willing to put someone else's puzzle back together. I found out mine consists of several puzzles. :banghead:
