JD 140 H3

 Just picked up a JD 140 H3 1968 model, runs good and looks very good for an oldie. I also came across 3 JD blades 2 bran new 48 in. and one 54in. used but nice. Gave 300.00 for the tractor and 350 for all 3 blades. will try and get pictures, new computer will not  except old camera? and yes I still love my Wheel horses!

Congrats on the 140H3.  1968 was the first year of the 140, which was a ground breaking tractor in the L&G industry.  They're nice tractors.

GREAT Tractor! I've been looking for a 70 or 71 model. They had the 14HP Kohler in them which was added in 69, along with a couple other items the very first one's did not have. They also got the newer style Sundstrand tranny that was kept all the way through the 300 models. It is the first Hydro garden tractor and that is what started it. The H3 in my opinion is more suited for anything than any garden tractor model. With those 3 spools, and if you have the optional rear spool, man you got something that I would keep... But it is a pain to change some of those attachments on the rear end. But you can operate 3 attachments at one. For instance blade in the front, mower deck in the middle, and tiller on the rear. Tell me what GT can do that today!Great find, and especially for that price.

I was way to young to remember any of those commercials. But I do remember the late 70's Simplicity adds. Don't see much, in the way, of advertising like they use to for the garden tractors.

Nice. There is company that offers an aftermarket kit to add the rear hydraulic ports. I will post the link when I'm on my laptop.
