Firpo701 407 #1 Posted November 11, 2014 Serviced the 701 today, oil change, newer battery, general tightening of belts, fresh grease, etc. The yard needed one final mowing, so I managed to get about 2 hours of "seat time therapy, which was well needed! Before I started mowing, I took the rear wheel weights off, cleaned them, and changed them from linen beige to regal red. Had been wanting to do that for a couple months now. I likes it! Happy Horsing everyone!

slammer302 2,155 #3 Posted November 11, 2014 I've been trying to do the same thing today was the last nice day for us here in Missouri
specialwheelhorse 174 #4 Posted November 11, 2014 Yep same here. Picked every pepper I could find over an inch long So Dee canned every last okra and pepper. Cut the okra down and pulled it on the Irish potatoes I have still going crazy, Short row and today A bale of straw on them. I'm hoping to have some Little red taters for Christmas. Got a couple volunteer maters loaded with some A little bigger than golf balls so a couple big styrofoam coolers Will go over them in hopes they will still make in the Window for Christmas as well. Really need an oil change in the 857 mow tractor. Like those weights !!!!! Many times we still have to mow a couple times a month here And snow removal is a GOOD broom or wait a day.
Firpo701 407 #5 Posted November 11, 2014 Thanks Glenn!....Slammer, tomorrow looks like the last warm day we'll have in NE Ky for awhile....Wow Jim! You guys have been busy! Figured I'd better get something done today while I felt halfway decent. Lol. The Mrs pulled all of the pepper plants up and threw them out. I mowed everything I could get the deck over! Maybe in a week or so I can get out there and put the front weight bumper and snow plow on. Have a local doc appt at 11 in the morning, and then it's off to Columbus again for my tests Wednesday, that's why we took advantage of today.
specialwheelhorse 174 #6 Posted November 11, 2014 The best therapy in the world is that seat time stuff Just had to get back to you, wish we lived closer. Working on red stuff is very good therapy too. I got to make an appointment for my Doc soon. Really good to here what's going on there.
Tankman 3,516 #7 Posted November 11, 2014 Working or just preventative maintenance on the Horses is certainly a bit of therapy. For the grandsons, fun and learning. Rustoleum Regal Red is used plenty 'round this barn. Always off the shelf at Home "Cheapo" which is within a mile. Let's all hope for a mild winter although I'm sure the Horses will be up to the task, always ready to go!

PaulC 341 #10 Posted November 11, 2014 I did my final mowing myself this past sunday then power washed the tractors and decks. I then transition to getting mine ready for snow. I personally love the fact that these are so versatile and can be used as all year round machines. No messing around winter/summarizing and don't have to be bummed after mowing season putting them up for the winter. Also then no need for a boring walk behind snowblower or dare i say a stinking shovel When it comes to paint ive only used the rusto farm and implement in IH red. I love the color but have never compared it to regal which I have saw is very popular with other redsquare members. I do know that i am blown away at how tough the f&i is right out of a rattle can....maybe the regal red is too
