GT 14 Tire conversion

Since its so hard to find 27x9.50-15 tire for my GT 14 thought I would investigate conversion sizes to give me more choices.

Here is a table of car tire sizes showing % larger or smaller.

Great info... Have any of you tried putting a wider tire on the GT14?  Wondering how far one can go before the rubbing starts. I wonder if blocks that attach to the hubs exist hold the rims out a little farther. An inch or two would be great.

This is a four year old thread,          hope he got the tires worked out by now!

It's an old tread, but I will answer the question. The are Wheel Horse axles and hubs are designed to center the set screw on the center of woodruff key. If you move the axle out it will cock the key allowing the hub to slide in. 

Once it starts moving you can get a worn out hub and axle. The hubs should be flush with the end of the axle with both stock to the tractor.. If you change hubs or axles you need to check the location of key on the axle to see

if it matches the hub.
