Recommended Posts

I have wheel horse side discharge mower deck and unsure what belt to use for the drive belt. The mower is on a 14hp 8 speed Automatic from the mid 70's. The belt look to be around 3/8 wide and 96 inches in length. I cant read the original numbers. Can anyone help?  Thanks, Anthony

The model 5-1210 deck uses a 102742 drive belt that is 1/2" x 103".

Spindle belt is 1594 which is 1/2" x 107.21"

Decks are sized by their width of cut - not the width of the deck.

Tell us more.

The 5-1010 uses the same 102742 drive belt that is 1/2" x 103" as the 48" deck.

The spindle belt is 6738 which is 1/2" x 86".

Make sure you get a belt that is designed to bend backwards over a flat idler.

If you ever get stuck search the Manuals here using the word chart.

There are not that many to pick through to get the one you want. The belt dimensions are on the last pages of each belt file.

How about the blade numbers :) And where can I get a set? 48" deck. Assuming that belt info is the same?

Do you know the model number and serial number of your deck? Here is a list of the decks. Belt numbers may be the same but I like to check against the model number to make sure.

Should have included -

If you know the model number of your deck find the ipl (illustrated parts list) in our library. The file description page should have the belts listed and the blade part numbers on it. Saves you having to download anything to see them.

Here is an example.

Clicking on the picture will take you to the file description page where this info is posted.

Clicking on Download will take you directly to the file.

Well it looks like I'm out of luck. I have been looking for blades for my Lawn Ranger and having zero luck. I have tried Wheel Horse part numbers 7908, 7909. Toro part numbers 8777, and 53322 and no one has anything like this. I was thinking about doing a cut down, but finding right hand and left hand blades seems to be the problem.
Anyone making blades, constructing blades, got a work around, etc? My blades are usable, but that is about it.

Found these at Lowe's.  Same belts as TSC, just different packaging.  The 86" I got was on clearance and is not being stocked anymore.  They had sizes from 87" to 109" in 1/2".  Not a lot of 5/8" belts that would be useful for our tractors.

314-8 In great shape. Used for mowing more than anything. Bought it a few years ago but got a new tractor. I used the blower very little and it sounds like it needs a bearing on it. Runs well. I have new chains I've not put on yet and extra belts.
