Horse46 519 #1 Posted October 27, 2014 Hi all Posted intro on another part which I guess should be here? I have just bought a C-101 To cut a long story.... While cutting my lawn I used to get tractor envy as my neighbour trundled around on this cool looking red thing which made a better sound than my modern contraption. Anyhow it turns out he had 2 the other is, I think a C-121? Bigger engine. Anyway as with most first posts I do have a question. Horse46 519 #6 Posted October 27, 2014 I think you would have to swap the attaching hardware forgive my ignorance but is that some sort of fixing, without looking I do recall seeing something (Omatic?) looks like a latch mechanism, if so are these different for each deck or each tractor? Horse46 519 #8 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Had a little clean around the engine area tonight, and I'm very pleased with the condition under grease n grass. There is a small screw in the top front of the Motor up above the points, its loose and appears to be be leaking oil. Any info on what that is for would be helpful. In my collection of horses I have an A-800 Ranger which I restored but the deck is still on the to do list. I can tell you though that the deck for the A 800 is completely different to those designed for the C series and trying to mount it on a C would present a real and somewhat pointless challenge. Apart from being pretty small it does not belong to the 'tach-a-matic' series of implements so will not mount directly to your C-101. If you know where there's an A 800 Ranger deck in good condition I could be interested as there's rather a lot of work needed to make the one I've got usable again!
