push nuts

Recommended Posts

Not sure where to post this if this is the wrong place let me know. I am looking for a source for push nuts 5/8,3/4 or 7/8 mybe even 1 " inside measured. I think some of you know what i am speaking about, looks like a thin flat washer with teeth on the inside, you push them on a smooth shaft to retain something. I am not talking about a tooth washer that acts like a lock washer.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

any normal hardware store should have them in the fastener aisle.... you know in those little drawer trays.

Another name is timmerman nuts. I needed some for my snowblower and believe it or not no one local had them. I have 2 hardware stores near me that have everything under the sun but those. I ended up getting them from McMaster-Carr. I got a big bag of them but they will get used. I donated a bunch of them for work.
