Digger 66 3,478 #1 Posted October 19, 2014 A fella kind of local to me has this for sale & I was wondering if any of you folks could ID it . I think it may be a Ferguson with a matching FEL . But not sure . I'd like to do some research before going & plunking down the dough . He's asking $4500.00 for it .

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #4 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) It is a Massey Feguson GC2300 with an Iseki 3-cylinder diesel with 23hp and made from 2005-2008 by Iseki in Japan. Iseki made an identical tractor model but was not imported. The current model GC1705 and immediate predecessor was the GC2400. It is considered a Sub-Compact Tractor the same as a Kubota BX. US tractor manufacturers have all gone to either Japanese or Korean manufacturers for SCUT products. Price would be based on hours used and general condition. I would suggest looking at one of the other tractor forums that has information and owners comments on these tractors. You will find these to be more capable than, for example, a WH with FEL but still not up to a compact or full size tractor. The price seems workable as most manufacturers have incentive programs that kill resale on anything less than five years old. It is cheaper to buy new at 0% than used at market rate. Most tractors are not titled so it is considered a personal loan as opposed to a vehicle. Also I have found that comparable Kubota and JD models hold value more than MF. That being said, I wouldn't mind owning it if in good shape.
