stevasaurus 22,882 #2 Posted October 19, 2014 Yes it is, but I would still check the manual for your tractor to see what is recommended. I have 90wt in all of mine.
redsquarebob 27 #3 Posted October 19, 2014 I do not have manual for any of my tractors but i have been putting 80w90 in all of them just wondering if it will be fine in them
stevasaurus 22,882 #4 Posted October 19, 2014 It will be fine, if not the perfect oil to use. If you do not have any manuals...there is a manual section on the main page on this site where you can download and print them...or just take a look.

rmaynard 15,631 #6 Posted October 19, 2014 It is recommended to use SAE 90-140 A.P.I. Service GL-5 Gear Lubricant in your 8-speed. However, considering that most transmissions end up having a mix of water and oil in them from rain or condensation, any new, clean gear lube such as 80/90W will be fine if 90-140 is not available.
