Hey all:

Somewhat of a very seirous thread. Nothing to be concerned about, but just want to keep all of the heard, up to speed.... Many of you know Cleveland Clinic is a very important account of the company I work for..... Today the CEO (Toby Cosgrove) diverted his Engalnd flight today to head to Washington..... Tomorrow there will be a live internal broadcast within Cleveland Clinic to update all staff regarding the Ebola concerns. Cleveland Clinic is taking all necessary precautions to educate all individuals of the virus, how it is spread, and necessary containment procedures. They are also in the process of ordering additional HAZ MAT suites. I think this is a wise step on behalf of the clinic..... Monday or Tuesday next week there will be a Townhall meeting that addresses additional concerns regarding the Ebola virus. Will try and keep all up to date when this happens.

I am no expert, and can only speculate the proper protocal....... Error on the side of caution always!

In my position, I can only be a small light, that is hoping to help others see, the BRIGHTER light! Look up!

Hospital I work at is going bonkers. They dragged out an emergency management trailer that has been parked out back for 3 years and stuck it by the ER. They had a huge double door refrigerator freezer that was part of the emergency preparedness equipment. When we first got it, I had to take doors off of the building just to get it in. That bldg got torn down a year and a half ago. They put that fridge in storage at another site. It was seen a month ago. They went to get it today and it was gone! how does someone steal a giant refrigerator?  :confusion-confused:  :confusion-confused:

I took my dad to  the ER the other day with a age related illness. The nurse asked if he had traveled out of the country lately. Living in a small town,I just never considered ebola to be a concern here.I am close to St Louis so I guess its a very good possibility. It must be scary for health care workers now.

This is not a political statement,I believe all flights from that area should be banned. This is too dangerous to  learn lessons the hard way.

By the way,my father is fine and back home.

Dittos on that. If one more case unrelated to the Duncan one shows up, I don't think the government will have any other choice but to put a ban on travel from West Africa.

I'm flying to Orlando on Monday and you better believe that I am more than just a tad concerned.

You're much braver than I. I'll not get on a plane these days lol...

Unfortunately I don't have a choice as flying is part of my job. It does concern me because I fly into all of the major international hubs then out from there. Im hoping that my travel this winter is way down.  :hide:

However I doubt it will be, there will always be problems that I must attend too...  :banghead:

I can say this... CC is taking it to the next level being prepared.... CDC was here and they were very impressed with what the CC has done to be prepared.
