KyBlue 655 #1 Posted October 17, 2014 As some know, many years ago, I started out learning bodywork doing collision and restorations. As his reputation grew, we ended up doing more & more restorations ... I thought that some of you all would enjoy seeing some of the pictures... these were taken by me as I dropped in and helped doing various things around the shop, as I had already moved on to driving & doing my own Resto's. I still go and help him a few times a month or when he calls and needs help doing something. The owner of this Fastback passed away before we could really get into it. I do not recall what happened to it.

KyBlue 655 #5 Posted October 17, 2014 Cool pics. Is that a 49 Chevy truck? IIRC yes ... it came out really nice...though I don't have any finished photos of it (but i can get them) as I was not around when it was done. He'd taken on a business partner that didn't care for me much so I stayed clear. In the end it cost my mentor and friend his business and tools. He's had to start over, and has the majority of my tools. haha

KyBlue 655 #8 Posted October 17, 2014 I love doing it but ... much like Geno I'm too much of a perfectionist. So I do my stuff, and I'll help friends now and again.
Geno 1,929 #9 Posted October 17, 2014 Perfectionism is a real problem when you figure the time to pay ratio, but at least there's never an unhappy customer or a comeback!
KyBlue 655 #10 Posted October 17, 2014 well .... i wouldn't say that... they take it home and scratch it or dent it or in the case of one guy ... run it off the road and expect it fixed for free....
