waterlooboy2hp 49 #8 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Nice restoration on the Lombard. Did you modify the HF engine for cold weather? =========================================== No, not as yet. The original engine was a 2 shaft Tecumseh H-60. The new engine is a 346cc 11hp unit. I modified it into a 2 shaft engine. I just put a Predator 212cc engine on a Jake Imperial 626. I did winterize that one. Instead of re-jetting the carb and or, adding a heat box, I bought a carb with the adjustable low speed jet. I opened the stock .028" high speed jet to .0469" (#55 Drill). I then added an adjustable high speed needle to the carb. I also designed an adjustable system to draw hot air from the muffler, directly into the carb, without the need for a heat box. Can`t really put it to a test, until I get some cold weather. Right now, I have the engine running so smooth, that it sounds like an electric motor. If the cold weather test works out, I will do the same to the 346cc engine . As for the Lombard name, all the ID tags and the decals on mine, say it was made by American Lincoln Corp.. I know that American Lincoln bought all, or part of Lombard. However, I have never been able to find anything that says the Lombard ever made snow blowers at all. Have only found 2 others like mine on the whole internet, and both had American Lincoln decals on them. -- John Edited October 17, 2014 by waterlooboy2hp
