GM_Man 47 #1 Posted October 12, 2014 Went out to Canton yesterday to pick up a Lawn Ranger. Seller said there was rust on the rear rims. What do you guys think? Not to much rust hahaha 4
pacer 3,174 #2 Posted October 12, 2014 My gosh!! Now THATS rust I've had some rusty horses/rims but nothing like that... its sad looking in that shape, but I bet it'll clean up nice. Good you got it, when they begin to look like that, the owner too often just takes it to the scrap yard.
slammer302 2,156 #3 Posted October 12, 2014 I had a 552 back wheel rust apart like that
AMC RULES 37,143 #4 Posted October 12, 2014 Well...at least they're easy on and off. 5
GM_Man 47 #5 Posted October 12, 2014 Surprisingly the tractor itself isn't in that bad of shape. The only thing that's really locked up is the throttle cable. Supposedly it sat in a shed and the floor rotted out under the back tires.

Hammerhead 817 #18 Posted October 14, 2014 You have a rare 1968 Lawn Ranger, the last year for all of the round hoods. That was the only year they used those hood decals and 3 spoke steering wheel. The rear tires were a little different than the previous years too. Nice find for sure.
GM_Man 47 #19 Posted December 10, 2017 Well after 3 years of having this project on the back burner, it's finally back on four wheels in who knows how long! Now it's time to see if I can get that ol' tecumseh to run again. 9 2

RandyLittrell 3,885 #22 Posted December 10, 2017 With the little predators going for $99 it would be pretty tempting to go that route if it were me. Randy
