RickF 8 #1 Posted October 12, 2014 Hi, I know I'm probably not the first one to bring up this question but, I have a GT14 with 27x9.50x15" turf tires, and I want to put on AG or farm lug tires. I can't find any that fit on 15" rims. They have skid steer tires (industrial lug) that fit, but they're just not the same. I am thinking about going down to 12" rims, on 5 lug hubs that will then fit an AG tread. Has anyone ever done this to a GT14? Will any 12", 5 lug, 1 1/8" hub fit? I'll also consider putting on another manufacturers rim and hub if it would fit. Has anyone ever put another brand tractors hub and rim on their 1 1/8" WH shaft? Thanks for your help and input. flyovrcntry 115 #3 Posted October 12, 2014 I had the same problem with, I went with the 10.50 I think they are still avail. I wouldn't go to a smaller rim, you will be giving up ground clearance. The 8.50 would be fine, that GT 14 is a beast,it won't matter which size you use,it will dig a hole to China. Love that model. If you are using it for pushing snow, chains on any tire is the way to go. I had chains on mine with turf tires and could never get it stuck. The guy I sold it to says the same thing. He has promised me if he decides to sell it will be to me.
rustyoldjunk 127 #4 Posted October 17, 2014 Take a look at American Farmer. I believe they have 15 inch ag tires an last I looked reasonable prices.
