fredwook 2 #1 Posted October 2, 2014 Restoring a Raider 12. I have this hole in the tower. I see a regulator/rectifier here on some in pictures but mine has one on the engine shroud as seen in the picture. Does something else go where this hole is or just a cover up plate. Did someone modify it? thanks, fred
Ed Kennell 38,020 #2 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) My Raider 14 is cut out like your 12. There is an angled plate that houses the ammeter in the smaller bottom section between the 2 bolts. The regulator is in the upper larger opening and tilts back exposing the cooling fins. My Raider 12 has no cutout. Jist the 2 bolt holes bolting the regulator to the inside of the tower. On both of mine, the starter solenoid bolts on the engine tin where you have the regulator. Oh BTW, . Edited October 2, 2014 by ekennell
Don1977 604 #3 Posted October 2, 2014 That's where the original rectifier was attached to a bent plate that bolted on in the two holes. Just make a flat plate and bolt it on to cover the hole.
