Akestner 36 #1 Posted October 2, 2014 So I had a single bottom plow given to me and when I used it my front end was a little on the light side so I had a friend fab me up a bracket and suitcase weights he has a ton of pulling tractors so the weights are something he came up with but I thought I would share even though you guys have probably already seen it

Akestner 36 #3 Posted October 2, 2014 Thanks It's the only horse I have so I wanted it to be easy to go from the deck and mule drive to this takes me about 10 minutes once winter is done I'll take the rear weights off and put my hubcaps back on
Ed Kennell 38,020 #4 Posted October 2, 2014 Neat set up....I like it.
Akestner 36 #6 Posted October 2, 2014 I also made a bracket that bolts through the holes on my sleeve hitch so that I can hang the weights back there like a dummy I left one at his shop but I have 5 10lb weights and I think I'm going to get me to make him one more since I'll have room for it
Catmanii 36 #7 Posted October 2, 2014 Looks very nice and clean to me. I need to do something with my C-175 when using the plow. My front end comes off the ground at times and takes off to the left. Then I got to start over. Oh well.

Akestner 36 #12 Posted October 3, 2014 Nope as far as the tractor goes it's original the only thing I need/want to do is spray the floorboards with line-x I plastidipped them to see if I liked it which I did but there wasn't much texture and it didn't hold up well

km3h 543 #14 Posted October 3, 2014 Beautiful. I hope I can keep the one I am restoring looking like that. You must put a lot of time cleaning it.

Akestner 36 #17 Posted October 3, 2014 Thanks I really appreciate it. It's actually pretty easy I throughly clean it about every other time I use it but to keep it between uses I use purple power on the wheels and the deck I get it a gallon at a time and mix it in a garden sprayer then I spray the wheels the deck anything really covered in grass and let it set for a minute I've found if you do it to long it will leave a white film and it's hard to get it off once it does then I just rinse it off and blow dry it with my leaf blower
Akestner 36 #18 Posted October 3, 2014 just for the heck of it here it is in full "lawn clothes"

WH nut 553 #22 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) I plow with a 704 and its light in the front end. If your 520 likes to dance I need to put a ton of weight on the 704. Edited October 3, 2014 by WH nut
