702 with a snow blower HELP!!!!!

can anyone that has a 702 with a snow blower measure the lift rod?.

i need to make one and need the length.

Are you talking about the flag and piece it slips into??

yes that's what i need.

i have the one for a suburban and it's all one piece (looks like the lift flag triangle at both ends) but it's too short for the 702.

i measured and d be 29 inch's from bolt hole to bolt hole.

we are gonna get some gas pipe and try to make one this week end.

the factory one from the st-3072 manual looks like a piece of flat stock with a bend in it. part #1949.

I have a STR-324...it is not the round barrel like you have.  The R means it is for a ranger, but I use it on my 857...which should be the same as my 702.  I am just leaving for Scott's M&G now, but I will be back Saturday late afternoon.  If you think it is the same, I can dig it out and measure it then.

i have a rough measurement of 29 inch's on mine.

that's from center hole to center hole.

Here you go...hope this helps. 

 

The rod from the blower...37" from the bottom bolt hole to the top end...1" pipe, flattened and bent at the bolt end.  It has a reinforcement rod welded along the shaft to keep it from bending.

 

 

 

The flag piece is 3/4" solid rod...11" long.  I see the ruler appears to be off a little, but I went out and measured it again...it is 11" long.

 

 

The flag has a bend in it to center under the lift lever on the horse.

wow thanks stevasaurus.

i ended up making one last night out of angle iron.

it ended up being roughly 28 inch's from center hole to center hole.

mine has a different mount on the front then yours does.

i'll get a pic of it tomorrow.
